Basic Dog Manners
(for dogs over 8 months old)
In this class, dogs will learn basic life skills including loose-leash walking, coming when called, sitting politely for greeting, and other useful behaviors. Dogs that pull on leash, jump up on guests, and run away at the dog park will learn to pay better attention to their owners.

Puppy Kindergarten
(for puppies ages 8 weeks to 4 months old)
This class teaches puppies basic skills to set them up for a lifetime of happiness in their new homes. Socialization, body handling, and name recognition will be taught along with traditional obedience skills such as sit, down, and loose-leash walking. Puppies will have the opportunity to play with each other to learn appropriate social skills.

Graduate Puppy
(for puppies ages 4 to 8 months old)
In this class, puppies strengthen their understanding of basic life skills, such as loose-leash walking, coming when called, and sitting politely for greeting, while continuing to hone their social skills with other dogs during structured play sessions. Strategies for surviving this "tween" stage of puppy development will be discussed.

Canine Good Citizen Preparation
(for dogs over 8 months old who have completed a basic obedience course)
This class focuses on teaching the necessary skills for passing the AKC Canine Good Citizen test. Test items include walking politely on a loose leash around other dogs and people, sitting quietly for greeting, coming when called, and remaining calm amidst distractions.

Pre-Agility
(for dogs over 4 months old who have completed a basic obedience course)
Learn the basics of the fast-paced sport of dog agility in this six week class. Owners will be taught the fundamentals of handling while teaching their dogs the foundation skills necessary to compete in dog agility competitions.

Schedule & Tuition: Six weekly one-hour classes to be taken in succession. Start date 6/14. Thursday evenings, 5:30-6:30PM. $170.

Reactive Recovery
(for dogs that bark & lunge at other dogs)
Does your dog lunge towards other dogs while out for a walk? Does the sound of other dogs send him into a barking frenzy? This class teaches reactive dogs appropriate ways to behave in the presence of other dogs.

Classes are open enrollment, which means you can start class anytime as long as there is an open space for you and you have attended a Start Smart orientation.
